545 Broadway is to be a model of intelligent and sustainable
design that will support a broad range of human needs,
interests and activities though a mix of affordable and
amenity-rich apartments, convenient high quality office
space, and shared facilities. Its vision of sustainability
will aim to create a balanced ecology that combines
horticulture, energy conservation, energy production and
individual responsibility.

The project includes the renovation of the former
Lincoln Savings Bank into large commercial spaces and
a community facility for residents and neighbors alike. A
new green roof overlooks the elevated subway line and
the Manhattan skyline. Above that rises a new residential
tower with 360-degree views of Brooklyn, the East River,
and Manhattan.
